✔️ Bucket list item ✔️
. I made it a point this year to push myself to step out of my comfort zone and to really find myself in all aspects. One thing I wanted to prove to myself is that my beauty is not confined to my appearance and that I don’t always need to have my makeup done, my hair done, etc. I don’t need to hide behind all that to feel confident. I don’t need to care so much about what others expect or the judgements they make about me.
. One of my coworkers will soon lose her hair as she continues her chemo treatments. I found myself constantly stuck on the thought of being in my 20’s and having a physician tell me that I’ll lose all of my hair. I thought about how upset I would be. Kasara has been nothing short of amazing through her entire journey so far. She is such a hardworking, caring person and when I saw her new hair cut, I was just like “wow!!! She’s so positive even through all this, and she looks beautiful”!!! But why does she need to do it alone?
. I couldn’t think of a better time to cross this off my bucket list and support a friend, donate my hair to those who need it most, and enjoy the freedom and beauty that comes with finding myself and embracing my trueness.
. I don’t know what I was so afraid of, because I can honestly say this is one of the best things I’ve ever done. It feels so amazing!!!
. Long story short - if there’s something you’re thinking about doing, DO it! Step out of your comfort zone!
