📢 I’ll get straight to the point. It is not a racial matter.
This is a very difficult time for my fellow black community yes. We cry out “black lives matter” but if they really mattered then we wouldn’t see what is happening in Nigeria and as a whole community not lament about it to its resolve, we would not witness the hate on fellow black people across the globe who are working hard at something and show signs of progress and excellence. From our hurt and hate we have become our own oppressor.
Let us for one admit that we say black lives matter when white shoots at black however the hypocrisy in this does not camouflage itself in the color of our skin and the black of the hair on our heads when we mercilessly, savagely take away black lives from our own community.
We have the power to summon winds, Our hearts have sang the most beautiful songs to the universe, we are a marvel, we are a world wonder and we know this ourselves we are spiritual, we are believers, heart of the fire, thunder in the rain, Our voice calls for peace when clouds clash and yet we summon terror upon the young and old of our kind Oh how we have reduced ourselves.
Indeed black lives matter, the ones in Nigeria, Zimbabwe, South Africa, DRC, Somalia, Mozambique, Cameroon, they matter today like they mattered the day we raised voices for George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Michael Brown, Tamir Rice and many more. We are on self destruct mode.
What are we teaching the millennials? Our forefathers knew peace from these lands.
Oh my Africa! Land of the great, what have you become? The hate on self, the jealousy, envy and selfishness that you have clothed yourself with is but tufts of raw cotton, beware of the wind, Shame from the exposure of your nakedness is a mile away. #itiswhatitis #NewMusicVideoTomorrow
