I took a trip to the Godspeed Restore clinic today to check out why I occasionally feel tension in my Achilles’ tendon (never gives me pain, just feels tight and makes me nervous about things like jump rope, box jumps, etc.). It didn’t even bother me today when I was working out - I just wanted to see what I could do to optimize my fitness and wellness. Jared knew just the thing! He asked about my movement history, assessed my strength and mobility, and prescribed two primary noninvasive treatments: flossing and cupping. And I was amazed when Jared explained why I need to incorporate these two movements to take the strain off my tight tendon for good: hip thrusts and eccentric calf raises!
